Pottery Barn Kids pop-up in December

We'll be doing a Pottery Barn Kids pop-up on Saturday, December 10 from 9AM-2PM at the Pottery Barn Kids in Lynnfield, MA.

The pop-up is part of the MarketStreet Lynnfield Holiday Pop-Up Event, benefitting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through the Thanks & Giving Campaign.  We already love St. Jude Children's Hospital and we're happy to donate to the cause while also helping people to cross items off their holiday shopping list!

Mark your calendars and hope to see you there.  We're hoping to have some new inventory in place by then alongside our regular best sellers so swing by to check out never before seen offerings!

photos from our west elm pop-up

We had the best time at the pop-up and we sold some pillows AND some notecards, so it was productive as well as fun!  Here's pictures of the products we showed off in the store.  We'll do a part 2 version with some more of what the space looked like with our items and our name featured on the wall at checkout - (!!)

new to the Etsy shop - 3 card choices!

West Elm pop-up September 24! and Back-to-School!

Happy September, everyone!  'Tis the season for back to school, pumpkin spice lattes, apple picking, fall foliage, and West Elm pop-ups!

Our ABC items are perfect back-to-school gifts and even though we are marketing the ABC blankets towards the new baby crowd, they (like everything we make) are really appropriate for any age.

In case you missed our earlier post, we'll be at West Elm Fenway from 10-2PM on Saturday, September 24 exhibiting our Boston wares, including our Boston pillows, notecards, our MBTA "T" tea towels (get it - "T" towels??), and new ABC Boston baby blankets/layettes.  Please come say hi and keep us company if you happen to be in the area!

August ended up being a busy month for us, as we worked hard on a custom order for an ABC Boston canvas for a new baby in New Jersey expected mid-September, a number of cards and pillows, and an ABC Boston poster for a children's dental office that's renovating its office space.  We had a lovely conversation with the dental office and they invited us in to view the poster and updated space, so stay tuned for an update once it's finished!

In summary, please come visit us on the 24 at West Elm... we love you already but we'd love you even more in person.  Thanks so much for your support!

buy one get one free fat quarters are now available at Spoonflower!

If you've been waiting to place a fabric order for a project that uses a fat quarter, I'm here to let you know that there is no price time like the present -

Spoonflower is having a special now where fat quarters are buy one get one free!  This means that you can order two fat quarters in order to make two tea towels for what would normally be twice the price!

There are plenty of things you can make with only a fat quarter of fabric - see the Spoonflower blog for a treasure trove of ideas, but we personally are big fans of one fat quarter to make one tea towel.

You can simply stitch up the sides on a sewing machine, or honestly, this size is manageable enough that if you're afraid of sewing machines and just want to hand stitch the edges, this is possible without too much time or effort.

We've done eight tea towel recipe towels by hand and it took a while to get them all done (we spaced our efforts out over two Christmas seasons, to be honest), but the handmade touch can't be beat.

Our Etsy shop has some of our favorite tea towel designs using Spoonflower fabrics, including the ABC Boston alphabet design (order on Spoonflower on the one that notes the design is sized for 4 tea towels per yard), and all of our MBTA "T" tea towel designs!

etsy items are here:
etsy.com/shop/cityette

Spoonflower designs are available via our shop, search cityette or Boston in the search box tool and you'll be able to access these directly!

This is the perfect opportunity for when you want to make something for a friend but what you make for your friend is actually so lovely that you kind of want to keep it for yourself if it wouldn't make you feel guilty!

Now is the time!!  Go get this deal, people!
